Your site should have a clear and easy way to access your quote information. If you’re really looking to make an impression, your quotes page should have an easy photo uploading system in place. Each section for a picture should clearly lay out the instructions that you want them to follow. For instance, you could let them know what angles you need and at the beginning of the pictures you could give a blanket statement or request asking that the pictures be taken with certain lighting. Most of all, it is important to let them know that your quote is an estimate based on the quality of their pictures. The final and definitive estimate will be given when you have personally seen the car and have done your own investigation of the damage. You may find that the issue is deeper than even the pictures show. For instance, there could be frame damage, parts that need to be replaced that you can only see after climbing under the car or it may just be that the damage is simply too extensive for a repair but may actually need a replacement of a panel. In most cases, this will involve you ordering that panel, installing it, but potentially having to have a paint shop paint it for them. This is not the time to go rogue and try to manage the painting if you haven’t been trained for that. As you probably know by now, there are factory colors that have to be considered and the manufacturers OEM’s as far as part replacement goes. You want your customer to walk away with total satisfaction. If the colors don’t match, you could be setting yourself up for a whole lot of legal issues, like a lawsuit. Not okay.
